Blue Foundation on “No Ordinary Love”
Before a concert in Copenhagen, Tobias Wilner asked the band at soundcheck if they felt like playing a cover of Sade's "No Ordinary Love." They spent the soundcheck working out an arrangement. By the time the doors opened, the song was ready.
Wilner has loved Sade's music since he was young. There is something in her songs that feels effortless and true. "No Ordinary Love" has stayed with him for years - a song about devotion, longing, and the strange ways love remains, even when life changes.
Recorded live in Copenhagen, this is Blue Foundation's version of a song that has been part of the soundtrack to Wilner's life for a long time.
“Before the show in Copenhagen, I asked the band if they wanted to try ‘No Ordinary Love.’ We arranged it during soundcheck and played it that same night. There’s something beautiful about that. Sometimes music moves faster than thought.”
- Tobias Wilner
